LONDON - A British security men were arrested after throwing the British Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg with paint. That action was in protest against the government's budget cuts.When thrown, the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party is being attended by party members in Glasgow, Scotland. At that time, suddenly two men tossed with blue paint.
Clegg interviewed by local radio after the incident saying, "No big deal. I really wanted to paint the hair with a blue color, but my mother forbade me to do that," said Clegg told AFP on Friday (26/08/2011).
Scottish Liberal Democrat Party Leader Willie Rennie condemned the vandals. Police later arrested two men believed to be aged about 20 years in the area of Woodside Hall.
"Two individuals who are angry, preferring to express his frustrations directly through the action of a shame. The attitude of the two would only obscure the message that perhaps they want to convey," said Rennie.
Liberal Democrats were soft targets for anger the British people who do not like the plan budget cuts. The plan was initiated by the ruling Conservative Party in Britain today.
Clegg and Rennie adds to the list of British politician who became the target throwing residents. Earlier, former Prime Minister Tony Blair had been shot using paint bullets in front of parliament in 2004.
